A photograph taken from an elevated position to the right of the slipway of a bow view of the Shell tanker Serenia (1961) launching at the Vickers-Armstrong (Shipbuilders) Ltd High Walker Yard. The ship has just entered the water. Two gantry cranes can be seen either side of the slipway. The photographer was standing on the gantry crane originally closest to the bridge. The tanker was launched on 18 October 1960 and completed in July 1961.
