A group of Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company female officers dressed in protective gear with fire engine No. 39 while on a firefighting course conducted by Liverpool Fire Brigade. The course was held at the S4 Airport Annexe of the Airport Fire Station which included the Liverpool Fire Brigade Training School and the Merchant Navy Fire School. Seventeen participants in coveralls and holding helmets with MN stencilled on are in a formal group study with two Fire Brigade officers. Negatives numbers N85715 to N85721 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
