A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Strick Line cargo liner Turkistan (1963) under way off the Mersey Bar in the Mersey Estuary. She is laden almost to her marks and is passing the diesel-electric pilot tender Sir Thomas Brocklebank (1950) which is on station and is seen from ahead of her starboard beam. The horizon is not quite level.
