The general cargo ship Arawatta (1958) loading crates of K.O. vehicle parts for Manila in an unknown port in Australia. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay. The photographer is on the quayside abreast the number three hold looking forward and to port showing one of the crates being lifted aboard by the ship's own derricks, ready to be lowered into number three hold. Two other similar crates are standing on the quayside. The ship's brow is rigged below the bridge and it has E & A Line on it (Eastern & Australian Steam Ship Co Ltd). A family is disembarking.
