The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from a railway truck on the quayside abreast number 4 hold showing a dockside crane hoisting bales of sisal from number 3 hold. Another crane is swinging a hoist of bales towards the storage shed from number 2 hold. Negatives PM1792/4A to PM1796/30A were taken on the same occasion.
