Two apprentices cleaning the outside of the port bridge wing cab on board the Bank Line general cargo ship Tymeric (1919) off the east coast of Australia. The apprentices are Jim Paton and Horace Hayward and they are precariously hanging onto the cab with no safety lines rigged. The photographer, who was the only other apprentice serving on board the ship, is looking to starboard and slightly forward. A vertical format negative.
