A left side head and shoulders portrait of apprentice Horace Hayward by the funnel on board the Bank Line cargo vessel Tymeric (1919) at sea. He is in uniform complete with cap. The photographer is also an apprentice on board. Slide 35 from the "Apprentice Boy", Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture about his life as an apprentice for Bank Line in the period 1937-1941. The lecture consists of 39 slides.
