A back street off a one-way street in Iskenderun, Turkey. Three children are in the street and one is pushing a bicycle. A pile of tree branches is on the pavement on the left and the building on the corner of the one-way street has wooden scaffolding attached to it. In the background is one of the needle minarets with two platforms that is part of the mosque shown in slide PCT15879. This is Slide 16 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Lumber, Lorries and Luck", about his service as Second Officer on board the Eskdalegate from 13 November 1976 to May 1977. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
