The west pier and leading light at Dunkirk, France.
The west pier and leading light at Dunkirk, France. On the end of the pier next to the leading light is a fog warning bell and a signal mast. Three spherical day marks and two flags are hoisted at the signal mast. A bucket dredger is working close to the pier and the main harbour lighthouse is in the misty background. The photographer is on board a cross-channel ferry in the harbour entrance looking south-east-by-south. A note on the negative says the photographer was using Camera B.
