A slightly distant port bow view of the Calais pilot cutter No. 2 (Fl. 1900) at anchor off Calais, France. She is rigged as a gaff cutter and has a very small steadying sail set on her bowsprit. Her starboard anchor is deployed and her foresail is hanging loose over the port bow, ready for hoisting. CAL P2 is painted on her bulwark on the port quarter.
