An unidentified spritsail barge under sail in ballast on Lower Hope Reach, River Thames.
A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of an unidentified spritsail barge under sail in ballast on Lower Hope Reach, River Thames. She is a topsail barge in light winds and has a jib, mainsail, topsail and mizzen sail set. One of her crew is using an oar from the port bow, presumably to assist her in turning. The photographer is on board an excursion vessel and a bucket dredger is at work on the right of the picture.
