Box lid
Lid for circular wooden box made of the wood of 'Royal George', sank 1782. A parchment label in the lid is inscribed: 'Made out of part of the Royal George of 100 guns which was sunk at Spithead with Adml. Kempenfelt, Capt Waghorn & about 1200 souls on board, on the 29th of August 1782. This was got up in the month of Sept 1839.'
