A view of a battle damaged building, taken from on board the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) while on a southbound transit of the Suez Canal. The damaged building is at the top of the canal bank. The top of a water tower is situated on the left hand side of the damaged building. There is a navigation buoy and a metal tower off the canal bank in the foreground. This is Slide 18 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) owned by Middle East Navigation Aids Service from 3 May 1979 to 18 June 1979 and then Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume I (1952) owned by the same company to the ship breakers yard from 18 June 1979 to 30 June 1979. The lecture consists of 30 slides.
