The bulk carrier Arctic (1968) passing through the Panama canal parallel to the bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964). Lock mules on either side of the canal are pulling the Arctic through the canal. This is Slide 56 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the motor bulk carrier Wilkawa (1964) owned by Sir William Reardon Smith & Sons Ltd of Cardiff, from 17 May 1970 to 26 November 1970. This series consists of 83 slides.
