A Christian cross is fastened to the railings of the steps leading up to the chapel in the foreground. A white cross is also painted onto the front of the chapel above the doors. This is Slide 25 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Second Officer on board the bulk carrier London Explorer (1959), owned by London & Overseas Freighters Ltd. from 11 July 1972 to 16 October 1972. The series consists of 39 slides.
