A just off starboard bow view of the fishing stern trawler Salvia (1972) berthed in Cape Town, South Africa. Two mooring ropes from the bow are fastened to a bollard on the quayside. A metal stool and two wooden cabinets are on the quayside next to the bollard. An obscured view of an unidentified ship is in the background on the right hand side of the image. A partial view of a grain elevator is aft of Salvia. This is Slide 3 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Chief Officer on board the fishing stern motor trawler Salvia (1972) owned by Irving & Johnstone of Cape Town from 11 December 1972 to 8 January 1973. The series consists of 21 slides.
