The lower Barrakka District is in the background on the left siide of the image. This is Slide 37 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Watchkeeping Officer for the cable ship John W. Mackay (1922) owned by Commercial Cable Company of London from 16 December 1974 to 21 March 1975. This series consists of 45 slides.
