The next shop on the right bears a yellow sign with the word 'Oris' and an image of a wristwatch. The building opposite the watch shop bears the signs 'Case Enrique' and 'Casa Moderna'. Beyond the Casa Enrique shop on the left is a yellow sign withe words 'Warenius Madurostraat'. The next building on the left in the middle ground bears a black sign that reads 'Florsheim' and a partially obscured red sign where the word 'Roberto' is visible. There are more building with illegible signs on the left side of the street extending into the background. A grey house is at the end of the street in the background. This is Slide 14 of a series of slides detailing Captain H. Bird's service as Watchkeeping Officer for the cable ship John W. Mackay (1922) owned by Commercial Cable Company of London from 31 July 1975 to 28 October 1975. This series consists of 17 slides.
