Vivienne was one of three women who became RNLI volunteer crew members in 1990, and the first to join the Little and Broad Haven lifeboat. During her 30 years with the RNLI, she has been involved in 120 shouts and credited with directly saving the lives of eight people. She was awarded an MBE in 2017 for 'services to the RNLI and Maritime Safety'.
