No. 4 mast on a lighter in Rinella Bay, Kalkara, Malta
Looking east-by-north to Ricasoli across the head of Rinella Bay, Kalkara, Malta, from Bighi. Moored to the shore are some C.A.Y.C. lighters with No. 4 lower mast on them. The nearest lighter is number 132. A wooden track is being put into position to enable the mast to be pulled ashore from the lighters. A gap has been knocked in the boundary wall to get the mast into the grounds of Fort Ricasoli. One mast has already been put into position and a topmast is to the right of it. The photograph was taken at about noon.
