Looking across Dockyard Creek, Malta, from the shore in front of Dockyard Terrace, Senglea. The Naval Bakery in Vittoriosa is to the left of the church of San Lorenzo. On the right is the public ferry landing with a steamer alongside and with the Dock Yard Arms, formerly the Army & Navy Bar, beyond. A dghaisa in the foreground is being rowed by two Royal Navy seamen and the three passengers are Berry's wife Susannah, their daughter Enid and another woman whose name is Hetty. The photograph was taken at 12.30.
