Dockyard Creek, Vittoriosa, the Naval Bakery and San Lorenzo church, Malta
Looking across Dockyard Creek, Malta, from the upper verandah of the residence of the Chief Constructor in Dockyard Terrace, Senglea. The Naval Bakery in Vittoriosa is on the left with the church of San Lorenzo to the right of centre. On the right is the public ferry landing with a steamer alongside and with the Dock Yard Arms, formerly the Army & Navy Bar, beyond. The clock of San Lorenzo reads either 08.10 or 14.40 but the victualling yard clock says the time is 13.50. Berry notes give the time as 14.00.
