Dockyard Creek, Vittoriosa, Malta
Looking across Dockyard Creek, Malta, to Vittoriosa from the terrace of the residence of the Chief Constructor in Dockyard Terrace, Senglea. The Naval Bakery is in the left background. The church of San Lorenzo, the public ferry landing with a steamer leaving, and the Dock Yard Arms, formerly the Army & Navy Bar, are in the centre. The storehouses, including the Reserve Boat Shed are on the right. The Admiral Superintendent's barge, seen from off her starboard beam, is under way heading up the creek. Berry's notebook gives the time as 13.30. Very slightly unsharp.
