Dockyard Creek and Fort St Angelo, Vittoriosa, Malta
Looking north across Dockyard Creek to Fort St Angelo, Malta, from the upper verandah of the residence of the Chief Constructor in Dockyard Terrace at Senglea. Moored in the creek is the hulk Egmont (1863), seen from well abaft her port beam, with a smaller hulk astern of her, probably the Cruiser (1879). The victualling yard in Vittoriosa is on the right. A large number of dghaisas are in the foreground. Valletta is in the background. Berry gives the time as 15.00.
