Whitby fishermen, Yorkshire.

Looking north-east from the quay at Pier Road to the East Cliff with St Mary's Church on Abbey Plain. On the extreme left is the footbridge down to the outer breakwater. In the foreground there is a group of fishermen, two of whom are sitting mending their nets while being watched by four others leaning on a stack of lobster pots. On man is leaning over the guardrail looking down at the water. Similar to P38288 and P38289.
