The day after Trafalgar; disabled ships, with one under tow

This is probably the day after Trafalgar, with both British and enemy ships in distress in heavy weather off the Spanish coast to the far right. The frigate 'Euryalus' is towing Collingwood's 'Royal Sovereign' centre right and the ship in stern view crossing their bow under courses on her standing lower masts only is probably the 'Victory'. The composition relates to a watercolour also in the collection, PAD5883. Bound with PAF0001-PAF0020, PAF0022. [PvdM]
