Bomb damage to an air raid shelter in Anchor Gate Road, south of No. 14 Dry Dock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is looking north-east. The bow of a large ship can be seen in No. 15 Dry Dock on the right. The building with the row of eight pitched roofs is the Gunnery Equipment Store. A decorative clock projecting from the wall of a building on the left says it is 13.20. The raid was in the evening of 5th December.
