Bomb damage on the south side of C Lock and north west corner of B Lock in Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is looking south across the Tidal Basin. The gantry crane straddling No. 11 Dry Dock is in the centre background. Alongside the Tidal Basin quay wall in the right background is the trawler Computator (1919) FY 635. The masts of the Victory (1765) can be seen beyond the trawler. A lorry trailer is partly buried in the rubble and an inverted sign reads "Cars may be parked here within the white lines". Another sign reads "S.W.V. 60'0"". This same lorry trailer is shown in negative number N24926. The raid was in the evening of 5th December.
