A DRV1F twin 21 inch torpedo tubes mounting for the escort destroyer Blean (1942) in a workshop in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
A completed DRV1F twin 21 inch torpedo tubes mounting, viewed from the right side of the muzzle end, in a workshop in Portsmouth Dockyard. The mount is destined for the escort destroyer Blean (1942) as evidenced by the note written on the operator's shield which states "From M.E.D. P. Yd. To m/s Hawthorn, Leslie & Co ltd, Hebburn-on-Tyne for J4247. PP16/3." J4247 is the Admiralty Job Number for the Blean (1942). A notice board in the background states "Your shelter is 323".
