The starboard side of the outer bottom plating of the light cruiser Hawke on No. 5 Slip in Portsmouth Dockyard, looking aft along the B strake from station 120, showing a welded butt joint in 35 lb plating at station 122. The B strake is temporarily bolted to the A strake and the 2nd longitudinal is also bolted in position. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P110/43 has been written near the bottom right corner of the negative.
