Looking from the quayside across the deck of the tank landing craft LCT 334 (1942) which is undergoing conversion to an LCT(R) in the Tidal Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard. The photographer is standing abreast the ship's bridge looking to port. The plating over her tank deck is complete and the port side of her blast screen is being fitted. The transporter crane, No. 11 Dry Dock and No. 1 Ship Shop are in the background. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P142/43 has been written twice, one being lined through, in the bottom left corner of the negative.
