A G78 LILO unit under construction on the floor of Admiralty Floating Dock 11 (1924) which is moored in Fountain Lake, Portsmouth Dockyard. A rubber airbag has been lowered over one of the hollow concrete tubes. The airbag is suspended on a series of wires and a gang of men are discussing the steel plate fixings to the tube. A stack of fixing plates is in the left foreground. The photographer is looking east-north-east across the dock from the south side wall near the east end of the dock. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P159/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
