Phoenix units under construction in C Lock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire

Phoenix reinforced concrete caissons under construction in C Lock, Portsmouth Dockyard. The quay between the lock and the Shipwrights Shop is being used to store the steel reinforcings. The photographer is looking west from the north side of the basin end of the lock. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P222/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
