Phoenix units under construction in C Lock, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire

Phoenix reinforced concrete caissons under construction in C Lock, Portsmouth Dockyard. A large corrugated iron clad shed has been erected on the quay at the south-west end of the lock. The photographer is looking south-west from the north side of the lock. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P225/43 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
