Looking down on Floating Dock Jetty from the top of the south wall of the floating dock AFD 11 (1924). The dock is moored in Fountain Lake, Portsmouth Dockyard. The open area between the store sheds and office buildings is cluttered with steel reinforcing, scaffold boards, timber and items of machinery. Men are sorting a large pile of scaffolding connectors. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register number P163/44 has been written in the bottom left corner of the negative.
