The starboard side of the damaged corvette Pink (1942) in No. 8 Dry Dock, Portsmouth Dockyard, looking aft and to port from the dockside showing corrugations to the hull at about frame 72, in way of the engine room. Two depth charge throwers can be seen on the upper deck abaft for forecastle deck break. Vertical format. The Pink was hit by a Gnat acoustic torpedo fired from the German submarine U 988 off Normandy on 27 Jun. 1944. She was written off as a constructive total loss.
