Fort Cumberland sea wall, Eastney, Portsmouth, Hampshire

Looking east along the beach at Eastney, Portsmouth, showing the condition of the sea wall in front of Fort Cumberland. Above the sea wall on the left is a long steel gantry structure that has scaffolding in the centre and a ladder at the far end. A building is being erected in the centre of the picture and the wall appears to be enclosing an HA.DCT (High Angle Director Control Tower) fitted with Type 285 radar on the top. An open cab lorry is parked on the top of the sea wall with men near it.
