The torpedo damaged repair ship Albatross (1928) docked down in a dry dock in Portsmouth Dockyard, showing a close view of the damage to the port side forward as seen from the side wall of the dock abreast the damage looking aft and to starboard. Scaffolding has been erected but no work has yet been started to clear the debris. The ship was hit by a torpedo off Ouistreham and the forward third of the hull was flooded. Towed to Portsmouth for repair but repairs not fully completed.
