The starboard side of the hull of the former German destroyer Z38 (1941) taken from the floor of No. 13 Dry Dock in Portsmouth Dockyard, just forward of her bilge keel looking forward. Her lower hull plating has been dished in for a considerable length. Her spray deflector strake can just be made out.
