On board the heavy repair ship Ranpura (1924) during her fitting out in Portsmouth Dockyard. In the Woodworking Shop on B Deck looking forward and to starboard. In the right foreground is a sandpapering machine with a vertical mortising and boring machine beyond it. Between the pillar and large crane support column is a vertical spindle moulding machine with a 30 inch bandsaw beyond. To the left of the pillars is a 20 inch circular saw and on the left is a large wooden bench fitted with two vices. On and around the bench are stacks of timber.
