Looking across No. 11 Dry Dock from the quay on the north-east corner of the Tidal Basin, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.
Looking south-east across No. 11 Dry Dock from the quay just east of the entrance caisson to No. 2 Tidal Basin in Portsmouth Dockyard. The quay is cluttered with packing cases, baulks of timber, oil drums, a cable reel and a 3 cylinder diesel engine marked "ex Elisabeth-Therese". The Elisabeth-Therese was a French motor trawler built in 1934 and seized 3 Jul. 1940. She was lost, cause and location unknown, on 4 Jul. 1945. One of the supports for the transporter crane is in the background.
