The U.S. aircraft carrier Valley Forge (1945) alongside Boat House Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire.

A slightly distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the United States aircraft carrier Valley Forge (1945) berthed on Boat House Jetty, Portsmouth Dockyard. Her flight deck is packed with aircraft and her pendant number 45 is painted on her funnel. The battleship Duke of York (1940) is berthed on South Railway Jetty in the background. The Victory (1765) has all her topmasts and yards sent down to enable the hemp rigging to be replaced by sisal.
