A petty officer standing in a small store on board the light cruiser Belfast (1938) in Portsmouth Dockyard. The store is lined with wire mesh fronted cupboards and the officer is holding an open wooden box containing a star globe. Instructions on how to use the star globe are pasted on the inside of the box lid. This is a celestial navigation globe made by Henry Hughes & Son. The Portsmouth Dockyard negative register lists this series of negatives as "HMS Belfast recruiting campaign". Vertical format.
