Apprentices in No. 7 Boathouse, Portsmouth Dockyard, Hampshire
Three apprentices setting up the stem post and keel of a 14 feet RNSA sailing dinghy in No. 7 Boathouse, Main Road, Portsmouth Dockyard. One of the boys is using a sash clamp and one is using a chisel. A G clamp is being used to hold the forward deadwood in place. Wooden block planes, a tenon saw and two more G clamps are on the floor. A wheel brace and another sash clamp are propped up against a boat cradle in the background. A supervisor is keeping an eye on the boys.
