HMS 'Vindictive' returning from the Zeebrugge Raid, 24 April 1918
Inscribed by the artist, 'Vindictive', lower right, this shows the ship which, while damaged, steamed back after the raid of 23 April under her own power and arrived at Dover at 08.00 the following morning. The view is from off the port quarter with the cliffs of Dover behind.
