Fid
A wooden fid with a 5-lead, 4-bight Turk's head knot at the end in vanished hemp cord. Below the head in ink is inscribed: 'S.H. Sørensen Varde 1882'. Other examples of Sørensen's work can be seen at the Maritime Museum at Helsingør, Denmark. He was born in Varde, Denmark in 1882 and in 1892 sailed on board the barque 'Peruvian' of Fanø.
