Sheet 1, Diagram of the triangulation and line of traverse from Annesley Bay to Magdala. Trigonometrical survey of the 1868 'Abyssinian Campaign'. Composed of 5 sheets, which form a long, narrow portrait strip covering the trigonometrical survey route from Annesley Bay (Zula Bay) on the Red Sea coast (in modern day Eritrea) to the hilltop fortress of Magdala in Ethiopia. Made by Lieut. T T Carter and assisted by A E Dummler and T H Holdich. All Royal Engineers
