Both are standing on bare, dry earth, possibly a street or road. Two other children can also be seen further behind the woman, on the left side of the image. Other, smaller figures, are also visible on the right of the image. Two one-storey buildings with roofs made of sheets of metal can be seen behidn these figures, with palm trees and other vegetation in the background.
