Beach scene with fishing boats and nets

A group of three sheets of paper glued together along one edge. The recto of the top page features a detailed pen and ink sketch of small boats close to a beach, beneath a cliff. There is a similar view on the verso of the bottom page with the addition of figures hauling fishing nets on to the beach. The interior pages are black. These drawings are the work of naval officer Aiskew Paffard Hollis (1764–1844). For other examples of Hollis’s work, see PAH4885 and ZBB0352–84.
