A View of H.B.M.S. Naiad, attacked by the Gun-Boats off Cabrita Point

A starboard stern quarter view of Naiad under full sail with a following wind. The sea is calm, only disrupted by the splashes of shot, aimed at Naiad, from gun boats visible in the distance, along the mountainous coastline. Smoke is billowing from the gun boats which appear to have multiple oars, rather than sails. There are two local lateen rigged vessels in the distance, which though their sails are hoisted, also appear to have oars. Several large three-masted ships are anchored in the shelter of a steep-sided mountain, shown on the right of the picture.
